Empowering United Communities

We believe an informed society is the foundation of a strong and sustainable Sabah.
SABAR is a non-political and non-religious entity in Sabah that educates people about Malaysia’s historical formation, conducts research on the Malaysia Agreement 1963, takes legal action to protect Sabah’s rights, and supports government initiatives for unity and social justice.

Who We Are

Bringing Sabahans Together
SABAR brings together Sabahans from diverse backgrounds who share a common goal: To promote awareness, understanding, and constructive dialogue on issues that matter to Sabah.
Through talks, forums, publications, and community engagement, we help make important topics more accessible to the public.

What We Do

We focus on education, dialogue, and engagement to build a more informed and empowered Sabahan society.

Our Programs & Initiatives

Public Education

We organise talks, forums, and educational sessions to help the public better understand Sabah’s history, rights, and governance issues.

Community Dialogues

We create safe spaces for open, respectful discussions where Sabahans can exchange ideas and perspectives.

Awareness & Advocacy

Through education and public statements, we encourage informed participation and responsible civic engagement.

Research & Publications

We support the sharing of knowledge through newsletters, articles, and educational resources.

Why It Matters

Knowledge Empowers Change
An informed public is better equipped to make decisions, ask questions, and contribute meaningfully to society. SABAR exists to support this process through knowledge, dialogue, and community participation.
Unity in Understanding
We believe that lasting positive change comes through education and understanding. By providing accessible information and creating spaces for respectful dialogue, we empower Sabahans to engage meaningfully with issues that affect their lives and communities.
